Highlanders lose again as Harare City march on

Highlanders suffered their third defeat in a row after losing 2-1 to Triangle United today.

The Bulawayo giants are now one place above the relegation zone with 23 points.

The match had a cagey start but United picked an early advantage on the 11th minute through Allan Tavarwisa.

Bosso later regrouped and dominated possession, and Nqobizitha Masuku grabbed the equaliser just after the half-hour mark.

The game looked set to end in a stalemate until Ralph Kawondera scored a late winner in the 85th minute.

Triangle now have 32 points, sitting in the 5th position.

In the capital, Lloyd Chitembwe got his second consecutive win as Harare City coach in a 2-0 win over Chapungu.

The Sunshine Boys continued from where they left last week when they defeated Bosso and first-half goals from Martin Vengesai and Ishmael Wadi were enough to dispatch the army side.

Triangle United 2-1 Highlanders
