ABSA Premiership: Zim players weekly perfomance review

The 2019-20 ABSA Premiership continued with a host of fixtures down south over the weekend and here is how Zimbabwean players plying their trade across the Limpopo fared.

Danny ‘Deco’ Phiri was named man of the match in his Golden Arrows’ 1-1 draw with Durban rivals Amazulu.

In that same game, Edmore Sibanda also started in goals for Abafana Bes’thende while Knox Mutizwa came on as a second half substitute.

Khama Billiat came off the bench for Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium but could not help Amakhosi avoid their first defeat of the season; a 1-0 loss to Polokwane City. Walter Musona also came on as a second half substitute for Rise and Shine in that game.

In the Limpopo derby, Elvis Chipezeze made some crucial saves as his Baroka FC defeated Cuthbert Malajila’s Black Leopards 2-0.

Onismo Bhasera started for Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport United in their trillling 3-3 stalemate with Cape Town City while Kuda Mahachi was introduced in the second half.
