Ngezi Platinum Stars have parted ways with their coach, Erol Akbay, nine months after the Dutchman took over the club.
Akbay who replaced Tonderai Ndiraya leaves the club in the 8th position with 32 points, eight behind log leaders ZPC Kariba.
His assistant, Tendai Chikuni has also departed. The club confirmed the news in a statement on Tuesday.
“Ngezi Platinum Stars F.C wishes to announce the departure of head coach Erol Akbay and his assistant Tendai Chikuni from the club with immediate effect. The separation is by mutual consent.”
The new coaches, meanwhile, will be named soon.
