New Chippa United coach Norman Mapeza has reportedly roped in Daniel Vherumu as his assistant.

The two coaches worked at FC Platinum, and after Mapeza’s appointment at the ABSA Premiership side a few weeks ago, he has decided to take the former centre-back with him.

According to the Chronicle, Vheremu bade farewell to the players on Friday soon after training ahead of their 3-1 victory over Yadah.

The departure leaves FC Platinum coach Lizwe Sweswe with one deputy – Patrick Mandizha.

Sweswe who was the assistant coach during Mapeza’s tenure took over the reins in September.
