37′ Dieng releases the ball and Senegal is on counter attack. Mane is at the end of it but opts to square the ball to an unmarked Gueye, who makes a heavy first touch and Mhari thwarts the danger.

37′  Wadi intercepts a pass from Diallo in a dangerous position. He quickly turns and shoots at goal but his effort takes a deflection and Zim gets a corner kick. The set-piece is taken and keeper collects.

35′ Zimbabwe now showing intent as they start to retain a little more possession and reaching the goal area.

31′ Musona takes the freekick but the effort goes off target. Good chance wasted there.

30′ Yellow card to Balde (Senegal) for remonstrating.

30′ Corne-kick to Zimbabwe, Musona swings it in and Madzongwe is at the end of it. He plays it back to Benyu who takes a one time shot from the edge  of the box but Balde block it with his hand. Free-kick to Zim in a good position.

28′ Corner kick to  Senegal. Set-piece taken but Warriors clear their lines.

23′ Big Save!!! Mane rounds up Takwara and Benyu to get the space inside the box. He shoots on target but Mhari does well to go down quickly and saves the shot.

20′ Big chance!!! Mane releases Sarr who shoots from an acute angle. His effort, however, rolls in front of an open goal and goes out.

20′ Wadi tries to evade his marker but loses his footing. Musona picks the loose ball just outside the box and shoots at goal but the attemp goes wide.

19′ Toure gets the space as he tries his luck at goal. His shot goes wide.

15′ Senegal still dominating possession and winning several balls in the midfield. Warriors’ chances are few and far in between.

11′ Balde gets the space and tries to shoot from afar but his shot goes over.

10′ Senegal dominating the early pace as they force the Warriors back in their half.

6′ Warriors launch a counter attack. Musona gets the ball on the centre and quickly turns to start the offense. Wadi offers support from the right flank but the skipper opts to go for goal and his effort goes wide. No threat for Dieng.

4′ Senegal taking the game to Zimbabwe as they continue attacking in the opening minutes of the game.

3′ Mane receive a through ball on the edge of the box. He gets into the goal area but Madzongwe does well to block him and clears the danger.

1′ Mane sets up Sarr who shoots straight to the goal but his low long-range effort goes an inch wide. That was a huge threat there.
