AmaZulu striker, Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has made a strong start to life in the South African Premier Soccer League, scoring three goals in his first seven appearances for the club.
The 22, year-old former FC Platinum player, who joined AmaZulu in July says he has quickly adapted to the demands of South African football.
He says there is differences in pace and tactical intensity compared to the Zimbabwean league.
“Football here is faster, and you have to think quicker,” Ngwenya told Soccer24.
“The ground quality is also much better, which makes a big difference.”
Ngwenya also credited his smooth transition to strong team cohesion and the support he has received from head coach Arthur Zwane.
“I have adapted very well because I’m well connected with the team and the coach has been very supportive,” he said.
He went on to described Zwane as “a top coach” whose motivational style has helped him settle quickly.
Looking ahead, the young forward says he aims to maintain his form and contribute to the club’s success.
“I feel motivated, and I believe anything is possible with God. I never thought I would come this side and score the way I’m doing. I will keep working hard and keep the faith.”
AmaZulu currently sit in position nine on the log with 11 points from 7 games nine points shy from log leaders Sekukhund United who are on 20 points from 8 games.
