Former Highlanders coach Bongani Mafu yesterday got a rude awakening in Harare after thieves pinched his wallet inside Rufaro Stadium while he was watching the Warriors versus Guinea match.

The Warriors match attracted a bumper crowd but a number of fans including Mafu were robbed of phones,wallets and other personal items at Rufaro Stadium.

“Now I really enjoyed that Zim vs Guinea match. The live atmosphere was incredible. Downside is those Rufaro thieves picking my pocket and stealing my wallet with ALL my bank cards and membership cards!!!!! Anyone in and around Rufaro Stadium? I need those things,” posted Mafu on his Facebook wall.

Mafu was relieved of his duties  at Bosso on Thursday  together with his assistants Mandla Mpofu and Peter Oxo Nkomo.
