CHAN hosts Rwanda say they are ready to host the tournament and promised to make it the best ever.
The tournament which features only locally based players kicks off tomorrow and will run till the 7th of February.
Speaking at a press conference today Rwanda Football Federation president Vincent Nzamwita said “We are fully ready to host this high-level competition.
The Rwandan government has reportedly spent US $21.4 million on infrastructure and organisational costs for CHAN 2016. “Everything had to be rebuilt,” said Nzamwita.
The first match will see the host nation clash with the Ivory Coast ,followed by Gabon and Morocco meeting in the second game.
The Warriors who only depart from Zimbabwe on Saturday will play their first match against Zambia on Tuesday.
