Barcelona came from behind to record a 6-1 win over Girona in Saturday night’s historic Catalan derby at Camp Nou.

Girona, who were visiting Barcelona’s famous stadium for the first time in their history, took a shock lead inside three minutes, but the La Liga leaders turned the match around – scoring six unanswered goals – to collect all three points.

Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick for the home side, while Lionel Messi grabbed a brace and Philippe Coutinho netted his first league goal for the Catalan giants.

Barcelona have stretched their advantage over second-placed Atletico Madrid to 10 points, although Diego Simeone ‘s side now have a game in hand.
