FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza is back at work after recovering from a back surgical treatment following a freak gym incident.

According to The Herald, the gaffer reported for duty yesterday and is likely to be available on Saturday in their league match against Mutare City.

“Norman is back at work in Zvishavane, his doctors have given him the all-clear that he can now do his job after his operation was a success,” club spokesperson Chido Chizondo confirmed to the newspaper.

Mapeza was as initially expected to take about six months on the sidelines, as he needed to undergo some physiotherapy sessions. He has only missed the opening seven matches of the season.
