Shabanie Mine coach Takesure Chiragwi was not pleased with how the referee handled their 1-0 defeat against Yadah on Wednesday afternoon.

Leeroy Murape scored the solitary strike in the first half after a good run by Leeroy Mavunga.

The Chinda Boys could have equalised late in the game, but Tatenda Mukuwe’s 90th-minute effort was ruled offside by referee Dumisani Khumalo.

The referee’s decision left Chiragwi fuming, describing it as a hurdle to local football development.

“If we want to go somewhere with the football, then the officiating needs to improve because there will be no reason for us to train,” said Chiragwi.

“There are some decisions that I thought were unfair to us, but I cannot comment much about that. The referee knows better. But I am a bit worried when it appears the rules of football are against one team.”
