Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says Kaitano Tembo has never disappointed since taking over the reins at SuperSport United.
Tembo became the substantive coach in the off-season following multiple spells on an interim basis. He lost his first Tshwane Derby 2-1 to Sundowns last weekend but went on to get praises from Mosimane.
“I am happy with Tembo. He has never disappointed since he took over the coaching reins,” Mosimane said, according to KickOff.com.
“He shows he deserves the opportunity. Sometimes we had 4-0 or 5-0 against SuperSport, but Tembo is strong, he puts the game on edge.”
United are currently sixth in the Absa Premiership table with 19 points from 12 matches. They will resume their league campaign against Kaizer Chiefs at Mbombela Stadium on December 12.
