Zifa’s Central and Southern Region Division One Leagues have postponed their kick-off dates for the 2019 season.
The delay comes after most clubs have failed to complete their on-line player registrations on ZIFA connect system, thereby restricting the issue of player licences on time. Other teams have also not met the affiliation fees payment deadline.
“The Association wishes to inform its member clubs that the CRSL 2019 season kick-off date which was set for 30/31 of March 2019 has been postponed… It must be emphasized that the Regional Association took this decision in order to avoid any disruptions and to have a smooth kick off. The Association sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this postponement,” reads the statement by the Central League.
The postponement, however, will allow clubs to refurbish their home grounds to meet the required standards.
