Chicken Inn coach Joey Antipas was not happy with how the game against FC Platinum on Saturday was officiated.

The Gamecocks lost 1-0, thanks to a controversial goal in the 4th minute by Perfect Chikwende. The effort was adjudged to have crossed the whitewash but, in fact, the ball was cleared off the line by Xolisani Moyo.

Speaking after the game, Antipas hopes the team will recover but blames the linesman Michael Ncube.

“The guys who saw the replays on TV claim that was not a goal. We were unfortunate to have the linesman (Michael Ncube) always flagging against us,” lamented the coach.

“But it’s too early into the season, and I’m hopeful we will recover in time.”

Chicken Inn have dropped to the third position with nine points from five games. The Saturday defeat was their second in a row after losing at Ngezi Platinum during the Easter holidays.
