The temperature is expected to drop to around 29 degrees Celsius by the time the Warriors’ match against Egypt starts.
Zimbabwe are kicking off their 2019 Afcon campaign against the hosts at 10 pm (Zim time) on Friday.
The team is likely to endure even higher temperatures as the tournament progress with forecasted highs of around 40 degrees in the coming week.
Caf will allow a three-minute water break on minute 25 and 75 in all the games at the tournament. Wet towels and ice buckets will also be put on the touchline during the matches.
Meanwhile, the Warriors arrived in Egypt eleven days before the start of the tournament and the stay will work in their favour as they have been aclimatising to the warm conditions in North Africa.
